Never Ending Greece

After months of grueling battles between the Troika and Greece, another chapter has come to a close. Alexis Tsipras caved in to the Troika’s demands. Outwardly, the Troika seems triumphant on the back of Merkel’s iron fist. Whether it was Merkel that won the battle or the surreptitious hands of powerful banksters is still a matter of conjecture. The bankers cannot allow Greece to default at this moment as the domino effect on trillions of derivatives will take the whole financial system down. The can has to be dribbled again down the road until the opportune moment.

Greek Conundrum

Greece was once a formidable nation with renown philosophers – the cradle of democracy. Their culture and influence in Europe was widespread. So much so that the post-Christ era was peppered with Greek philosophy that reaches deep into Christian teachings. But powerful nations do not last forever. Greece faded into oblivion. Today, with its economy in tatters and a relatively small population of circa 10 million people, Greeks influence is insignificant. After having been inducted into the Eurozone, it soon becomes a misfit. It can no longer thrive on the largesse of its fellow Eurozone members.

If a Sovereign Nation goes Bankrupt

Wikipedia – Since a sovereign government, by definition, controls its own affairs, it cannot be obliged to pay back its debt. Nonetheless, governments may face severe pressure from lending countries. In a few extreme cases, a major creditor nation, before the establishment of the UN Charter Article 2 (4) prohibiting use of force by states made threats of war or waged war against a debtor nation for failing to pay back debt to seize assets to enforce its creditor’s rights.

Brave Enough to take the Blame

Some lead with integrity – like all good leaders, they take the blame when things fall apart. There’s no winching distractions and sacrifice of scapegoats. In times of old, wars were fought with the leaders leading in the front. They were true warriors. They took the first blow. In modern leadership, the leader leads from the rear. No wonder they coined the term “Rear Admiral”. The lesser mortals were left to die while leaders hide in bunkers and protected by layers of secret police and armour. Can you respect such leadership?

De-Greecing Eurozone

All machineries need de-greasing maintenance regularly to keep the machines running in tip-top condition. The same goes for human beings. Regular fasting and de-toxing brings the body back to its form. How about nations? The same logic must apply. The Eurozone is getting too cluttered up. Policies are getting convoluted. Who is exactly at the help is a matter of conjecture. Some says Germany, being the largest nation in the group. Others say there are hidden hands that are the real power behind the Eurozone. It doesn’t really matter. The time comes for a Eurozone de-Greecing.

Greece Becomes Cheece

When a person gets cornered, what will he do? Anything. There’s nothing more to lose. Greece is in one such situation. Whether the Greeks vote ναί (YES)  or όχι (NO) to the troika’s terms, it makes no difference.  You can call a bankrupt πτώχευση (in Greek), en faillite (French), 破产者 (Chinese) or whatever, he is still a bankrupt. A bankrupt is a bankrupt, period. You can kick the can down the road or bury your head in the sand, a bankrupt is still a bankrupt. Unless of course….. he defaults. All debts suddenly vanish. 

When Money Stops Flowing

SHTFPlan.com – For years the mainstream media and their following of myrmidons have made a joke out of those who have taken time, effort and money to prepare their homes, assets and families for “Doomsday” scenarios that may include anything from financial collapse to natural disasters.

For those who laugh at “preppers” it boils down to the belief that this time is different from the countless historical examples showing just how bad things can get. World wars, monetary hyperinflations, depressions, tyrannical governments, pandemics, Tsunamis, you name it; according to the experts, these things can never happen, especially not here in America. Plus, in the off chance that something does go wrong, we can always depend on our government to bail us out.

Wizard of Banking

There is nothing new under the sun. It will rise from the east, and sets in the west. There is nothing new at all. So should bank closures in Greece be such headline news? Just not too long ago, Cyprus was a dress rehearsal. Anyone watching the banking system knows that. Now that rehearsal phase 1 has passed with flying colours, we are in phase 2. It’s Greece turn. Greece may be a little different from Cyprus. Greece will hurt the EU, while Cyprus hurts the Russians. There is always the possibility of a rabbit being pulled out of the Troika’s hat. Only it won’t be white this time. It will be pink. Greece is dress rehearsal 2. The finale is making its debut soon.

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

“Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?” That was evil vanity in action in the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Of course, that is just a fairy tale. Closer to life, there are also stories of vanity, obsessiveness and ugliness. A woman will guard her face and figure jealously. Trips to the spa and gym are mandatory for the socialites. Those assets represent “her beauty”. Man will guard his sports car like a woman guards her assets. A scratch on his shiny marque will evoke quick and merciless response.
