One World, Two Lives

indexSome say the world is so unfair. It is true if you look around and compare how different people live their lives even though they are in the same place. Why are the rich so rich, and the poor so poor? Why is there so much injustice? Is it just because they are each born in a different family? Where you are born and the parentage makes a world of difference in a person’s life. It just doesn’t sound fair.

The unfairness of life is apparent when we compare with human understanding. But that’s purely in the physical. What about the spiritual, can that be easily compared? Ultimately, if we know our final eternal destination, then the unfairness will simply fade away. As Shakespeare wrote, All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances,. We are just actors on the stage, sojourners in this temporal world. Fairness is only affirmed when we can exercise our will and decide the final destiny.

Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.
